Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Route 528, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Route 528 is

Route 528 provides one original MCAT-style practice question per day, along with explanations, concept summaries, streak tracking, and question history. It is a study aid, not a tutoring service, and it is provided on an as-is basis.

Your account

You sign in with a passwordless email link. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for any activity under your account. You must provide an accurate email address, and you must be old enough to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

Membership, free launch, and billing

Membership terms run for one year. During our launch period, membership is offered free of charge — your first year is free. We are not planning to charge members who join free during this period, and if we ever introduce fees for existing members, we will give clear advance notice before any charge is made. If and when paid billing is enabled, membership is a recurring annual subscription (billed through Stripe) that you may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and does not retroactively refund a term already started unless required by law.

No guarantee of results

Route 528 is a study habit tool. We do not guarantee any particular MCAT score, score improvement, admissions outcome, or exam result. Your results depend on many factors outside our control. Content is provided for educational purposes and is not professional, medical, or admissions advice.

Not affiliated with the AAMC

Route 528 is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). “MCAT” is a trademark of the AAMC. All questions on Route 528 are original content created by us and are not drawn from any official exam or third-party materials.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service — including scraping or bulk-copying questions, reselling or redistributing content, attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with the service's operation, or using it to violate any law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do so.

Intellectual property

All questions, explanations, and other content on Route 528 are owned by us and are protected by copyright. You are granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the content for your own MCAT preparation. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the content without our written permission.

Termination

You may deactivate your account at any time from your Settings page. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. You can request permanent deletion of your data by emailing hello@route528.com.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that content is free of inaccuracies.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Route 528 and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which may be zero during the free period).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Route 528 is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Confirm the specific governing state/jurisdiction with counsel before relying on this section.]
